Temblor provides free individualized earthquake risk information to the public. It’s the same basic info that we license to the insurance industry — the difference being volume of locations and depth of the analysis. This distinguishes us from other risk model vendors (e.g., RMS, AIR, CoreLogic), which are closed to the public.

Quake Alerts
Temblor will send you a notification when an earthquake strikes near your location. This is NOT an earthquake early warning and is not intended to inform you of impending shaking. Various agencies around the world distribute early earthquake warnings to earthquake-prone regions. We encourage you to seek out your local agency to receive such alerts.

Temblor’s mission is to provide the public with accurate, accessible, and understandable information about earthquakes. You can now register without a password via an unlock code sent to your cell phone. You don’t need to enter it again as long as you do not logout.
We now provide more complete and more valuable seismic risk information for your home or building, with the repair cost in the largest likely earthquake—with and without seismic retrofit, and with and without earthquake insurance at various deductibles. This is something insurance company calculate but do not show to buyers.
We have implemented a more comprehensive algorithm for the Earthquake Score. It now takes into account whether you are in a liquefaction, landslide, or fault zone.
Our new earthquake catalog merges events from a dozen seismic networks around the world, and tags the events as either mainshocks or aftershocks. You can filter the catalog by time period and magnitude, and zoom or pan the map, with a corresponding clickable table.
We now provide push notifications for moderate or larger earthquakes near you.
The app now includes our news articles, which were previously in a separate website. We now are registered to assign DOI numbers, so that the articles are searchable in Google Scholar and their scientific citations are tracked.
